The Future is Female

The Future is Female is a collection of digital portraits in the form of tarot cards. The women in each portrait are females throughout the decades that have transformed the future with the purpose of inspiring women, such as myself, and have a strong influence in my life. My works have been strongly conceptually structured as each woman in the portraits are categorized with traditional tarot card titles which have been carefully chosen, where upright elements of tarot cards can be seen throughout the collection of works. Utilizing digital art has allowed me to convey a colour palette suitable for audiences to engage with, and find a deeper meaning with the colours and symbols associated with the portraits. These portraits are a visual representation of a diverse range of women who continue to shape and change the world today.
