Dusk

Dusk is a short comic book novel that is a simple reading allowing it to be enjoyed by different ages through the use of locations and hidden meanings. These meanings and themes were expressed through the absence of text and symbolic lighting. The audience follows the journey of Elliot as he races through different landscapes, to travel home before the sun sets. A demon from his shadow confronts him before he finds himself in the familiar and safe with those who love him. Inspired by the work of artist and author Tove Jason and her practice of blurring the tones of fiction and reality within her work, “Dusk” tackles the concept of bottling up emotions and its consequences, something I myself have struggled with.
