Your Task:

To build the strongest bridge you can that spans a 30cm canyon. Your bridge must be able to support a container that will then have dice added to it. The bridge that holds the most dice wins!

Materials allowed to be used:
- Straws (one handful per group only!)
- Sticky tape
- String
- Glue
- 10 paddle pop sticks per group only

Step 1 – Come up with a plan. What do you want it to look like? Draw it and articulate why you are creating it that way.

Step 2 – Research. Find out about bridges, take some notes, what are you going to try and emulate in your creation.

Step 3 – Change your plan with the new information you now have.

Step 4 – Build it and record the process

Step 5 – Test it

Step 6 – Make changes to your build

Step 7 – Whole Class Event!
