The MSC will work outside of school too
To install the MSC open Safari and navigate to the following URL:
scroll to the bottom of the page and download the package called "munki-installer-s-oakflats-students.dmg "
The file would normally download to the Downloads folder, navigate to the downloads folder and right click on the file and select Open (Note, if you double click on the file it will ask you a security question and it will not work)
Open "System Settings", scroll down and then click on the "Privacy & Security" tab on the left of the window, scroll down to the bottom in the "Privacy & Security" tab and click "Open Anyway" next to the "Munki-inst...dents.mpkg was blocked to protect your Mac" message.
The file is safe, MacOS provides this warning as the application is not a MacOS-developed application.
Follow the install instructions.
