When we edit our videos we use a variety of software all created and published by Adobe. The software that is downloadable from the MSC. From Adobe get After Effects both editor and Render Engine, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Media Encoder as the main ones we use to edit video's. When we edit it's mostly just as it's been requested by Teachers and needs to be done ASAP.
When editing you either need to do it at school with access to school server (dumping place of all footage) or have an external hard drive that allows to hold at least 500G of footage. When downloading the footage it will usually take around a session to upload as the file size are usually close to 2Gs as the resolution make it a bigger file.
When the group edits we all look for the best shot from all the camera's then put them together time it almost perfect if putting together a film that need to go all together from start to finish, but if you need a montage style of video, with only snippets of film for teacher or showcase video. Editing can be tricky for those who haven't done it before or if you have lots of footage to go through and watch before doing what they have asked for and how they need it exported. We mainly upload to google drive and share with the teacher that want it.
