USC Function Resumes Legislative Function After Five-Year Hiatus, Reviews CBL Ammendments

Aiming to strengthen and ground student governance in accordance to the political principle of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Davao Oriental State University Student Council (DOrSU-USC) operated its first official senate hearing, chaired by Senate President Gila Mae Sedoripa, in five-year hiatus on March 11, 2026, at the University Board Room, where legislative and executive branches deliberate proposed amendments to the 2021 USC Constitution and By-Laws (CBL).

Future Rights Brings Global Youth Together to Champion Justice and Collective Action, AS Takes Part

5 December 2025 – Youth representatives from different countries gathered for an international webinar hosted by the Future Rights, creating a platform for dialogue on advancing climate, social, and human rights justice. The event highlighted how young people across diverse contexts are navigating structural inequalities, digital threats, and growing uncertainties shaping their social and political environments.

Elegance, intellect, and creativity took center stage as eleven (11) pairs of candidates from the various faculties of Davao Oriental State University – Main Campus and its extension campuses vied for the coveted titles of Ginoo at Hiyas ng DOrSU 2025 during the Preliminary Competition held today, April 21, at the University Academic Building Conference Room.

'Rise and Strive' Rings True as Siglakas Opens in Style
