Principles of Health Science I
My favorite aspect of health science is its broad impact on improving lives. Understanding how the human body and mind function, and how we can use that knowledge to enhance health and well-being, is incredibly rewarding. Health science combines various fields to address real-world challenges, from advancing medical treatments to promoting overall wellness. The focus on both prevention and treatment allows us to make meaningful contributions to people’s health and quality of life.
I chose to teach health science because I am passionate about sharing knowledge that can positively impact others' lives. Teaching allows me to inspire students and help them apply what they learn in practical ways. By guiding future health professionals and enthusiasts, I aim to contribute to a more informed and healthier society. The opportunity to support students as they develop their skills and understanding in this important field is deeply fulfilling and aligns with my commitment to advancing health science.
Hello all, My name is Ashanee I'm a licensed nurse originally from Los Angeles, California. I moved to Nevada with my husband and daughter in 2017. I taught Medical Assisting and Medical terminology prior to our move. After arriving to Nevada, I worked as a nurse in several different specialty areas across the valley such as Urgent care, Primary care, long term care, home health and last but not least I was a special procedures nurse for CCSD. A fun fact about me is I love the color pink. On my free time I enjoy going to the beach and family gatherings. I'm very thankful to have an opportunity to teach another year on the same campus as my husband and for us to be with our daughter for school, it’s a dream come true. I'm excited to be a part of Red Rock's amazing CTE team.
