Festival of Colors
Get ready for a burst of color and creativity at the "Don Bosco Festival of Colors: Talent Showcase by Youth Groups" happening on January 23, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The vibrant celebration will unfold across multiple venues, including Ferrari Court, Monchiero Court, Rotunda for the parade, and the Gymnasium for the main program. This dynamic platform is a testament to the creative spirit of our Bosconians, aiming to foster unity, cultural richness, and artistic diversity. Youth groups from various departments, spanning Grade School to College and TVET, will take center stage to showcase their talents in music, dance, drama, and more.
As part of the festival, a spirited parade will wind its way through the campus, setting the stage for a lively contest featuring competitions in cheering/yell, banner making, and group presentations. The festival encourages young individuals to express themselves, contributing to a vibrant and diverse cultural tapestry. To add to the excitement, prizes and special awards await the winners. Emphasizing collaboration, youth groups with similar interests will form teams across grade levels, promoting inclusivity and enjoyment for all.
Participants are encouraged to wear attire symbolizing their youth group, and each team, consisting of 10-20 representatives, will present their talents for 3-5 minutes. A quick, energetic yell or cheer lasting 10 seconds will further energize the crowd. The organizer will provide a white cloth for banner making, and any competition adjustments will be communicated promptly. Judges' decisions will be final.
To add an extra layer of excitement, each youth group is assigned a distinct color, creating a visually stunning display:
