Diakonia

Don Bosco College is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in society through education and values formation. Our Community Development program actively engages administrators, students, stakeholders, lay mission partners, and partner communities, fostering social transformation guided by core values: Spirituality, Collaboration, and Integrity. We instill social awareness in our students and lay mission partners, translating education into action as catalysts for positive change. Our efforts aim to interrupt the perennial cycle of poverty and uplift countless lives. The program encompasses various initiatives, including Outreach Programs, Spiritual Nourishment through Christian Living Education, Retreats, and Recollections, participation in the National Service Training Program (NSTP), and collaboration with alumni groups and associations of Don Bosco Educational Center Philippines.


In line with our commitment to community development, specific projects have been organized, such as the Grade 11 Diakonia event themed "Familia Ni Juan" scheduled for January 19, 2024, at Don Bosco Tvet Center- Calauan, Inc. from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Grade 10 Diakonia, themed "Sharing is LOVE," will take place on January 26, 2024, at Bahay Ni Maria from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. On January 29, 2024, Grade 6 Diakonia will be held with the theme "Little Juan a Helping Hand" at Don Bosco TVET Center- Calauan, Inc. from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Additionally, the LaMPS Outreach with the theme "LaMPara" is scheduled for February 2, 2024, at Mayapa Elementary School from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. These initiatives exemplify our commitment to social responsibility, emphasizing the values that drive positive change within our community.
