Mr. Coffey

Hello, my name is Kelly Coffey and I have been teaching and coaching for over 20 years. and my passion is teaching and mentoring young people. As teenage and college student-athlete, my teachers and coaches had a massive impact on my growth as a person and on my abilitly to thrive in moments of adversity, to value empathy and compassion and to treat others with dignity and respect. I am a life long learner and it seems my thirst for knowledge is never sated!

Why teach? My love for the Social Sciences has grown through the years and I am drawn to any book, documentary, podcast or lecture on the history of this world and this country. We are at a pivotal time in the world's history and things are changing and lives are being impacted tremendously and how we got here interests me deeply on so many levels.

I also have a love for sport. I've been playing and coaching sports, mostly soccer, since I was 6 years old. Sport has defined my life for over 3 decades and it will always be a passion for me. Competition taught me a lot about life and helped form my belief system about many things. My coaches taught me even more and really inspired me to create a life that is based on giving back and mentoring and working with young people.
