By Darwin Cooper

Officer Green runs a non profit organization The 100 Club that's focus is supporting first responder families. The 100 Club raises money so that in the case a first responder is killed in action their family is still supported by the organization. The organization runs two events a year to raise money for first responders.

Saturday May 21, 2022 the organization held a golf tournament where volunteers covered holes during the golf event and helped the event move smoothly. The golf event had 18 teams, 72 golfers, and 1-6 winning placements. Green said,

“We raised six thousand dollars between the golfing and the auction.”

The money raised will be used for helping first responder families in need. Officer Green added,

“We work with 32 agencies between Montezuma County and Dolores county.”

The next event will occur sometime in November. The event could be a galla, casino night, or masquerade ball all of which would be fundraising for the organizations cause.

Officer Green also offers letters of recommendation for those who volunteer. The events of The 100 Club are focused on helping those who serve and their families.
