Important Info

The Dolores School District follows established procedures for identification of Gifted students as mandated by The Colorado Department of Education (Click) guidelines.

  • The gifted population should reflect the community population (ethnicity, gender, etc.). Identification is ongoing and a body of evidence, including qualifying data, may be collected at any time during a student's academic career.

  • In order to be identified as Gifted, at least one state-qualifying piece of data in the 95th percentile will be collected, accompanied by a significant supporting body of evidence. This data will be reviewed by the district identification team.
