As educators, it is so important to have relationships with local industry to ensure student readiness for employment, enrollment, or enlistment leading to service. By creating partnerships with local industry, you can create currency and value for student demonstration of Employability Skills, be it through guaranteed interviews, increased compensation, etc. Industry partners can also be an untapped resource for designing and supporting student learnings.

Teachers toured industry workspaces to make connections through connections. After each tour, they followed up to ask the company to host a student workshop (for example: assemble cabinet doors). The teacher tours opened the door for industry partners to support student learning.
