Join us as we relax, connect, and learn together. In this After-Hours Chat, we watched Janelle Shane's TED Talk - The Danger of AI is Weirder Than You Think - and tried one of Shane's AI experiments. Then, we discussed the capabilities and limitations of current AI algorithms and applications -- and how they might affect the way we use and teach AI in K-12 schools.

AI Algorithms for Matchmaking... in Education?

Matchmaking is a multibillion-dollar industry. But what role does AI play in helping people find the perfect match for dating, friendships, jobs, or even an AirBnB? In this After-Hours Chat, ISTE Loop's Josh Werth will take us behind the scenes of an AI matchmaking platform that helps educators build their PLN. Through our guest speaker, break out room discussions, and a hands-on activity, we'll explore how AI matchmaking works, the nature of careers working with these types of AI tools, and the potential such algorithms might have in education.
