To ensure LEAs (Local Educational Agencies) including Special Education Directors, GNETS Directors, and other stakeholders in the region have professional learning and technical assistance to support collaboration around IDEA compliance and achievement of students with disabilities (SWDs).
General Supervision:Policies & Procedures
To provide targeted, sustained technical assistance to LEAs to ensure sustainability of IDEA compliant practices.
Literacy: Preschool-12th Grade
Ensure special education teachers demonstrate proficiency with structured literacy instruction in reading and writing.
Math: Preschool-12th Grade
Ensure special education teachers receive mathematics training.
Georgia Teacher/Provider Retention Program (GA-TPRP)
To provide HLP training within the TPRP initiative.
Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs)
To ensure LEAs in the region have the professional learning and technical assistance to select, implement with fidelity, and monitor EBP that increases the functional and academic achievement of students with disabilities.
Transition and Post-Secondary Outcomes
To ensure local educational agencies (LEAs) in the region have the professional learning and technical assistance to promote transition best practices, self-determination, and transition compliance.
