GLRS staff is specialized in providing professional learning, technical assistance and coaching on a variety of topics related to working with students with disabilities:
In the school setting - GLRS strives to provide training sessions appropriate for all individuals who work with students with disabilies in the school setting, including special education teachers, general education teachers, school administrators, and other support personnel in all phases of their career. Training sessions provide focused professional learning on various topics as indicated by priority areas identifiied by the state as well as those indentified through regional needs assessments. Additionally, staff who attend training are provided ongoing support to help ensure they are able to utilize the skills learned in their daily work.
In the community and home setting - GLRS offers support, as appropriate, to assist districts with transitioning students from the school setting to the community and/or home setting.
General training sessions are held across the school year, including summer months.
Schools/districts may also request training sessions for their district.

A nominal fee may be charged to participants from outside of the Southwest GLRS region to cover the cost of materials. Additionally, a no-show fee of $25 will be assessed for all in-person events.
