An inspiration from the stars…
BoöTeS was derived from the name of an astronomical constellation in the northern hemisphere that resembles a herdsman. As Lasallian dance artists, the BoöTeS represents a passionate and talented group of male individuals, which revolutionized the art of street dancing. These individuals were not only inspired to dance with mere bodily movement, but more importantly, they danced with their hearts enable to communicate to the audience the extraordinary art BoöTeS performs.
Along with the pioneering members, Ramil, Harold, Sonny, Benjie, Gerald, Albert, Mike, and Bong, Mr. Kennard King Valencia formed an all-boys dance group named BoöTeS. With the guidance of the founder and the Culture and Arts Office, the group became established as a Culture and Arts Groups (CAGs) on February 14, 1997. Since then, the BoöTeS has recreated, modernized, and enriched the art of street dancing through top-notch in and out-campus performances; and trained, educated, and produced excellent dancers through the recruitment of highly qualified individuals.
