IQnited: The Multi-Disciplinary Quiz Challenge is a thrilling test of knowledge, quick thinking, and precision across all academic subjects. This high-energy competition unites students in an intellectual battle, featuring a quiz bee segment that challenges their mastery of key concepts and current affairs, alongside a spelling bee that sharpens their linguistic accuracy and vocabulary skills. Designed to ignite a passion for learning, IQnited fosters healthy competition, teamwork, and critical thinking, empowering students to apply their knowledge in diverse and dynamic ways. By celebrating academic excellence and interdisciplinary learning, this challenge strengthens students' confidence and readiness to tackle real-world intellectual challenges.
Participants
Each section will be represented by three (3) students for the competition.
Question Distribution by Round
The quiz will consist of three rounds with the following subject distribution:
Easy Round – 8 Questions
🟢 Subjects: TLE, CLVE, PEH, Arts, Music
📝 Answer format: Letter only (A, B, C, or D)
Average Round – 5 Questions
🟡 Subjects: Filipino, English, Computer, STREAM, Social Science
Difficult Round – 5 Questions
🔴 Subjects: Science, Math, Robotics, STREAM, and/or Computer
Answering Guidelines
All answers must be written on a whiteboard.
For Easy Round, only the letter of the correct answer must be written.
For all rounds, the final answer must be clearly written and encircled — otherwise, it will not be accepted.
Misspelled or late answers will be marked incorrect.
Units of measurement must be correctly indicated where applicable.
Numerical answers from problem-solving must be rounded off to the nearest hundredths.
Use of any computing or mobile device is strictly prohibited during the competition proper.
Categories and Pointing System
Easy Round – 10 seconds; 1 point
Average Round – 30 seconds; 3 points
Easy Round – 60 seconds; 5 points
*Clincher - In case of a tied score, the students will do the clincher round. The
first one who raises the correct answer after the word "GO" will be declared
the winner for the specific rank.
Awards
The top 3 sections will receive the following:
1st Place - Gold Medals and Certificates
2nd Place - Silver Medals and Certificates
3rd Place - Bronze Medals and Certificates
Selection of Representatives
Each section must send one representative per round.
Random class numbers will be called from each section.
Sections will be given 30 seconds to send their representative.
If no representative appears within the time limit, the section will be automatically forfeited for that round.
Word Assignment
Each student will be given one word randomly selected from any of the following subject areas:
English, Science, Math, Filipino, Social Science, TLE, PEH, CLVE, Arts, Music, Robotics, STREAM, and Computer.
Answering Time and Rules
The pronouncer will read the word twice, followed by the signal word "Go."
Students must begin writing only after "Go" is said.
Each student has 15 seconds to write the word on their whiteboard.
Spelling must be clear and legible to be counted.
Scoring
Each correctly spelled word earns the section 1 point.
The section with the highest cumulative score at the end of the rounds will be declared the winner.
