I was born and raised in Riverside. It is a great honor and privilege to be back serving my community! I love spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, going on bike rides, trying new foods, and traveling!
In the Summer of 2015, I spent a month in Spain, France, and Portugal.
During Summer 2016, I spent 3 weeks traveling through Asia. I went to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. I was able to live out one of my dreams of spending time with elephants!
In July of 2017, I traveled to Mexico City.
The summer of 2018 was a busy one for me! On June 29th, I married my favorite travel partner and boyfriend of 10 years! We traveled to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay for our honeymoon.
In the summer of 2019, my husband and I fulfilled our dream of having a dog. Our puppy, Benji, is a golden retriever! I also received my Master's Degree from National Louis University. I completed a dual program in Special Education and Reading.
In the Winter of 2021, my husband and I found out that I was expecting our first child. Madison Grace was born on October 7, 2021.
In the Fall of 2023, we found out we were expecting our 2nd child. Emma Mae was born on July 30, 2024.
I have 2 amazing parents, 2 older brothers, 2 sister-in-laws, and 6 nieces & nephews and a wonderful husband!
I attended to Central School from kindergarten to 5th grade! After Central, I went on to attend Hauser and RB. After high school, I attended DePaul University to study Elementary Education and graduated in June 2014. In the summer of 2019, I completed my Master’s from National Louis University in Specialized Endorsements. My areas of focus are Reading & Special Education.
The school year after I graduated from DePaul, I was a full time substitute teacher in Summit District 104, where I fulfilled kindergarten and 3rd grade maternity leaves. During the 2015-2016 school year, I began the year at Central fulfilling a 4th grade maternity leave and finished the year at Blythe as a KITE Teacher. 2016 to 2018, I taught 2nd Grade and since then I have been teaching 4th Grade.
