 Water Bottles

It is a great idea to have your child bring a water bottle to school.  It will be sent home each night to be cleaned and refilled for the following school day.

Lunch

Monday-Friday: 11:25-12:15 pm

4th Graders will have recess first and then go to lunch.

If you would like your child to go home for lunch, you will need to sign them out and back in from the Central Office.

Homework

I expect that every student reads at least 30 minutes a day. Students should record what book they are reading each night in their assignment notebook, along with the pages read. This is located at the bottom of the page in their assignment notebooks.

Students are also expected to practice their math facts everyday. Addition and subtraction facts should already be mastered and students should begin mastering their multiplication and division facts. Students can practice through Xtra Math, Quizlet, flashcards, online games, and many other ways!

Class work that is not completed during the day will be sent home for homework. The work is expected to be completed and returned the next day.

Birthdays

When it is your child’s birthday, they will be celebrated at school by saying the pledge over the announcements, getting a pencil from the office, and getting a special chair cover in class.

It is a school-wide rule, with all the different allergies at school, that parents please refrain from sending in special treats from home.

Home Folder

Your child will have a home folder that goes home and comes back to school everyday.

Please assist your child in checking/unpacking their folder each night. If your child does not complete an assignment during the day, they will be expected to complete it for homework that night and return the completed work the next day.

If you have any notes for me or the office, please have your child put it in their Home Folder and then place it in the Turn in Bin in our classroom the following day.

District Wide Grading Scale
