Reading

Last Week: 

Students investigated culture through the lens of tradition. They read realistic fiction about characters from Hawaii and Korea, and looked at how in a good story, the author shows the character develop throughout the story. 

This Week:

Students will continue to read realistic fiction and dig deeper into the story Yoon and the Jade Bracelet to practice the reading skills "visualize", "author's purpose", and paired reading in which they compare two short texts which share a similar theme.
