Protocol for Physical Distancing and Protection
Minimum of 35 sq ft per person (not just students) in a room
6 feet between people (to the maximum extent possible)
Minimizing interactions between cohorts
Physical distancing in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, arrival and dismissal, meals, recess, passing times
Mitigation Measures:
Signs with the maximum people capacity are posted at the entry to each room. Students are assigned to classroom space based on this capacity.
Cohort Interaction is monitored to minimize interactions by the following (this is not an exhaustive list):
Cohorts are assigned separate recess and lunch times.
Cohorts are assigned entry and exit points in and out of the school for screening and daily logging.
Cohorts remain in their classroom while the subject matter teachers move between classrooms when feasible.
Each cohort has an assigned bathroom.
Drop off and PIck Up procedures are followed to allow for physical distancing.
Students riding the bus are escorted to the bus zone by a staff member to ensure physical distancing.
Staff placed in zones to monitor physical distancing during arrival and dismissal.
● No in person assemblies. Any group presentations will be broadcast through the use of webcams to each classroom.
