Dual Credit General Ed Statistics (MAT 120 at MCC) covers elementary statistics to meet the general education requirement. Students acquire a reasonable level of statistical literacy and reasoning in this hands-on course. They learn to use statistics to analyze and develop solutions for professional, societal and even personal problems.
NOTE: Entrance into Dual Credit General Ed Stats is accomplished in three ways:
1) Grades of B or better in both semesters of Intermediate Algebra
2) Qualifying score on the entrance exam, offered at HHS each March
3) Qualifying SAT score

Dual Credit General Ed Stats is a 1-semester course(0.5 HHS credits), taken during the first semester. Its curriculum and policies are guided by MCC. Students who complete this course gain 3 semester hours at MCC, which correspond to degree requirements for students pursuing an associates of arts degree. Students can then look to take Dual Credit College Algebra during the second semester to gain more MCC credits.
