Hello and welcome!
My name is Alexandre Guterres, and I am a Grade 10 student at Dili International School. This website is part of my Personal Interest Project (PIP), an annual project where Grade 10 students explore a topic they are passionate about.
For my project, I chose road safety awareness because it is a serious issue in Timor-Leste. Every year, many people, especially young people that are injured or killed on the roads due to speeding, lack of helmets, distracted driving, and unsafe road conditions. I believe this is something we can change by spreading knowledge and encouraging safer choices.
As part of my project, I created this website and an awareness flyer with easy-to-follow safety tips. My goal is to make people stop, think, and take action so that together we can reduce accidents and save lives.
This project is not just for school. It’s a step toward building a safer future for our community.
