Dear West Oak Intermediate Families,
We hope you had a great week! On Monday, September 29th, we are excited to welcome the Countryside Fire Protection District to WOIS! Firefighters will be visiting classrooms to teach students about fire safety and fire escape plans. We are so grateful for this opportunity to partner with our local fire department in keeping our students safe and informed.
As a friendly reminder, next week will be a short week with no school on Thursday or Friday. Because of this, there will be no family newsletter next Friday. We’ll return on Monday, October 6th from the long weekend for a late start to allow for staff professional development. Students may begin entering the building at 9:15 a.m.
We also want to take a moment to celebrate attendance. Over the first 26 school days, our average daily attendance has been 95.41%—thank you for your efforts in making attendance a priority! For the month of October, students will receive three pack points each day they are present. They can use these pack points to purchase fun rewards at the Wolfpack Warehouse! Let’s continue working together to encourage student attendance.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Natalie Kalette
Principal
West Oak Intermediate School
