We had an exciting and fun September Assembly last week!
Over the next two weeks, we will be starting up three new clubs for our students to explore! (Sewing, Theatre, and Cosmetology)
All of our sports teams have shown improvement and are doing great. Our basketball and soccer teams will begin their end of season tournaments next week. Good luck!
Indigenous Peoples Day: A friendly reminder that we will not have school next Monday, October 13th. We will resume a full day of classes on Tuesday, October 14th.
SAEBRS: Next week, our students will be participating in a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) screener through FastBridge called SAEBRS. This brief questionnaire helps us better understand how students are doing socially, emotionally, and behaviorally so that we can provide the right supports to help them thrive at school. The screener is not a test, but rather a tool that gives us valuable insight into how we can continue to build a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for all students.
MHS Cheerleading Clinic: Please review this flyer English/Spanish if you are interested in having your child participate in Mundelein High School's cheerleading clinic on October 16th.
Stem for Girls: We are excited to share that the Lake County STEM for Girls Conference is returning for its 7th year! The conference hosts women from various STEM fields who work directly with students with hands-on, real-world activities. Each session is interactive, inspiring, and designed to help girls see themselves in future STEM careers. Please sign up using this flyer.
BPAC Meeting: Our next D76 Bilingual Parent Advisory Council meeting will be on October 23rd from 6-7:00pm. Here is a flyer English/Spanish for more details.
Community Wellness: Join us for a special visit with author and psychologist Doug Bolton at the Community Wellness Fair at 7:00pm on November 6th! He’ll share insights from his new book and lead a conversation on how a student’s community—families, schools, and local partners—can foster wellness and drive academic success. Come learn practical strategies to strengthen belonging, build resilience, and create the supportive networks every learner needs to thrive. Here is a flyer for more information.
Halloween Dance: Mundelein's middle school Halloween Dance will be from 5-7:00pm on October 24, at Carl Sandburg Middle School. Students from West Oak, Fremont, and Carl Sandburg are invited to attend and the cost for entry is $5. We hope to see everyone there.

Diamond Awards: New to this year, we ask families to complete this nomination Form if they would like to recognize a staff member they feel are going above and beyond with what they do in the classroom, school, or district. Please consider spreading the positivity bys highlighting the great work that staff our doing in our district.
MHS Tutoring: Mundelein High School students are offering a Peer Tutor Club at no charge on certain evenings at the Fremont Library for ages K-8th grade. Clear bag policy: For the safety of all guests, only clear bags will be permitted inside the stadium.
Online ticketing: All tickets for Friday events must be purchased through GoFan.
Attendance Matters: Attendance = Achievement! Middle school is a key time for students to develop habits that will carry them into high school and beyond. When students attend every day, they are more likely to keep up with lessons, participate in activities, and build the confidence they need to succeed. Even a few absences can make it harder to stay on track. Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a top priority!
