This itinerary is tailored for active hikers, especially those who are comfortable with the challenges of hiking at high altitudes. Please be aware that many of the hikes, including shorter ones, require good stamina due to the high elevation. For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, we recommend that only those who feel confident in their ability to complete the planned activities join this trip. By setting these expectations, we aim to ensure that everyone is well-prepared and able to fully enjoy the experience.

Yakelin Huamán was born and raised in Cusco – Perú, is been working as a traditional tour guide for the last 14 years. She has a degree in tourism and has been trained in the amazon forest to work as a naturalist tour guide where she worked for two years in one of Peru’s best preserved reserved zones in the South Eastern Peruvian Amazon. In Cusco she work for Orient Express doing tours in Machupicchu for three years where she had the chance to learn from the resident archeologists that Machupicchu has. Sometimes she work translating where she was updated with the latest theories about that enigmatic incan citadel.
She is an ambassador of the Peruvian culture, sharing her knowledge of history, traditions and geography of her country. Her traveling passion took her to explore a lot she had visited most of the cities of Peru and several countries around the world. In addition to her work as a tour guide, Yakelin love animals and nature, she is an active member of a non profit organization to help misstreated dogs and cats.
