According to a website it says that apparently nomadic herding animals were not in North America yet and they were more into hunting than they were into raising live stock but that did not matter because there was no live stock at the time to raise so it did not matter what they were into.
Since they did not raise livestock yet they did not need a place to keep the animals . So to answer that question they did not keep them anywhere until there was animals there they could raise and if there was animals I would imagine they would keep them in a field or a barn of some sorts.
Well they did not have to maintain them because there was no livestock for them to maintain so no they did not maintain the live stock and there was no way for them to maintain them until they were able to get some when they first came to North America.
Well since they was no nomadic herding animals at that time they were not able to raise them so they were not able to sell or eat them at the time so I would imagine they hunted their food or they bought it so that they could cook it instead of raising it.
Since there was no animals to raise they had no livestock capacity for them to use or take up because there would be no point in having land that you would not use unless you have something to take up that land and raise on that land so there was no livestock capacity.
