Through a blend of traditional art and contemporary techniques, including exhibits, tours, seminars and workshops, the program serves as a gateway to exploring Filipinism – a fusion of cultural traditions and artistic innovation.
It aims to preserve the essence of Filipino identity while embracing modern creative expressions, inviting individuals to immerse themselves in a transformative journey of artistic discovery.
Filipinism in art is about expressing the unique identity and cultural heritage of Filipino artists. It is not about the techniques or style used, but about infusing the essence of being a Filipino into the artwork. This can include themes, colors, and subjects that reflect Filipino culture, history and everyday life.
The goal of this initiative is to create art with a distinct Filipino perspective that would resonate to both local and international audiences.
