The ELAC shall be responsible for:

• Advising the principal and staff on programs and services for English Learners.

• Advising the School Site Council on the development of the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).

The ELAC shall assist the school in the development of:

• The school's needs assessment.

• Ways to make parents/guardians aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

ELAC Voting Board Responsibilities

This is a Two (2) Year Commitment for a Parent/Guardian that currently has or has had a student in our Multilingual Program.

Officers will represent LQHS at the month district meetings, only one officer will represent LQHS at each meeting, responsibility will be shared.

Available Positions: President, Secretary, Representative

• ELAC President: Presides over all meetings of the ELAC and may sign all letters, reports, and other communications of the ELAC. 

• ELAC Secretary: Shall record and keep the minutes of actions taken at all ELAC meetings. 

• ELAC Representative: Shall record and keep the minutes of actions taken at all ELAC meetings
