Yearly Allocations/Rounds
Typically*, each July 1 marks the beginning of a new "Round" of Community College Strong Workforce funding. Current Round information:
Round 5 (Allocation year 2020-21), 07/01/20 - 06/30/22 expired
Round 6 (Allocation year 2021-22), 07/01/21 - 12/31/23 extended
Round 7 (Allocation year 2022-23), 07/01/22 - 06/30/24
Round 8 (Allocation year 2023-24), 07/01/23 - 06/30/25

*Using Round 8 (Allocation Year 2023-24) as an example:
Spring/Summer/Fall 2023 - College and Region planning occurs.
Late Summer 2023 - Allocation amount announced.
Mid Fall 2023 - Plans due in NOVA. Spending commences once certified.
Biannual fiscal reports are due throughout the life of the Round.
Period ending December 31 is usually due the following February 15
Period ending June 30 is usually due the following August 15 (starting with Round 8. Previous Rounds due November 15)
Plans can be closed once final fiscal reports have been submitted and approved.
