The 2025-2026 year is underway here at DeSales High School! Everybody is back and ready to learn. However, many students are looking forward to one thing, Coltfest. Coltfest takes place on September 25th, and is one of the most fun days on campus. Here is how it works:

At DeSales High School, the students are broken up into 9 different houses: Abbati, Brandsma, Elijah, Kalinowski, Mazzinghi, Pereira, Rabata, Spagnoli, and Thomas House. All nine houses compete in a series of events for points. Whichever house gets the most points by the end of Coltfest wins. What are the events you may ask, well here, let me tell you about them.

Each year the events can differentiate. This year, the nine events are: Kickball, Volleyball, Flag football, Spikeball, Canjam, Cornhole, Pickleball, Dodgeball, and all new this year due to construction in the gym, replacing basketball will be Streetball. In the spring, wiffle ball will replace kickball, and ultimate frisbee will replace flag football.
