Band Boosters

Dear Band Families,

Looking to support your band student's musical experience, and/or keep them fired up about playing an instrument in band?  Well, the DePere Band Boosters are offering a Band Camp scholarship available for any current band student to attend a band camp this summer!  Band camps are an awesome opportunity to improve ones skills and experience so much fun!  Those interested in applying should fill out the application below, answer the essay questions, and turn it in to their Band Director no later than March 10th. We will notify families by the end of March if they were approved for a scholarship. If you've signed up for a Band Camp, we'll need the mailing address of the camp at that time. Checks will be made out to the respective band camp and mailed to them directly referencing your student's name.  We look forward to helping send your child to camp!  Band camp registrations are now opening up throughout Wisconsin and across the country.  Application forms and information about band camps around Wisconsin can be found on each university website and the Foxview Band web page, as well as the DePere Band Booster Facebook page.

We know it might be a little early for summer planning, however, while band camps take as many students that enroll, early sign up will give you the best choices for elective offerings at some great camps like UWGB Band camps.  Otherwise, St. Norbert has a very nice Band camp that is a half day, and right across the bridge.  Most, if not all Band camps have a short concert at the end of the week, plus your child will have a blast, meet new friends, and learn from awesome fun instructors!

Some camps have multiple bands to enroll in, or audition for, if you are not sure if your child can attend a Band camp or what level they are please feel free to email Mr. Andersen and ask!
