Carlos P. Garcia High School is one with the Department of Education in the pursuit of quality education amidst the pandemic.
Hence, the CPGHS Community continued the preparations for the opening of classes since April up to present. Such nationwide activities like Brigada Eskwela, Oplan Balik Eskwela were totally adhered. The conduct of In-Service Training for Teachers, LAC Sessions, Virtual Kumustahan, Simulation of classes, and other efforts were deliberately exerted all for the teaching and learning process for School Year 2020-2021 to be a successful one.
DISTRIBUTION OF MODULESThe Digitized modules and Learning Activity Sheets were sent through FB Messenger and students answered them in the comfort of their homes.
CPGHS Learners were given ample time to download and answer the sent modules and LAS.
INSTRUCTIONS TO PARENTS
The mode of Communication applied is through FB Group Page and Group Chats. Parent’ s Permit is secured and through chats, detailed instruction to parents and students were delivered.
The parents guided their learners in accordance with the instructions given on the letter and FB chat.the conduct of a very first Online checking and reading of forms which happened last March 23, at exactly 9:00 a.m. Prior to this, the school ICT coordinator generated the meeting code in Google Hangout Meet and created a shared drive in his DepEd Google Drive account which will serve as a repository of all documents, (these documents were downloaded by each of the member of the School Checking Committee (SCC) as they took responsibility in paying attention to the Learners Reference Number (LRN), complete name, grades in each subject area and final average. The chairman also instructed the members of the SCC of the form that they are going to check, when everything is in place, the ICT coordinator presented the Summary of Grades of 10-Humility using the “present your screen” feature of Hangout Meet, while other class advisers are using their smartphones / tablets in inspecting each information being read. The same procedure was applied to section Harmony, Humanity and Honesty. The activity concluded at 11:40 am with Mrs. Francisco delivered her congratulatory remarks to the teachers for making this activity possible even during these challenging and crucial times.
Meanwhile, reading of forms with some of the lower grades may not be possible because the teachers left their records and forms in school and could not just get them considering the risk and strict compliance because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine policy. But still, the School ICT Coordinator showed his intention and willingness to assist the teachers in case they are ready for checking and reading of their forms.
