ABSTRACT
The study was conducted to determine the level of implementation and impact of the Career Guidance Program (CGP) on the SHS teachers of Salinungan National High School. This research used sequential mixed method designs, specifically the explanatory design, and stratified random sampling was utilized in selecting the respondents using Cochran’s formula. The questionnaires were intentionally made to validate the respondents’ answers, teacher to students, and vice versa and it successfully met its purpose. The study proved that the level of implementation of the Career Guidance Program (CGP) was highly implemented for both students and teachers. The CGP has a high impact on all the aspects considered in the academic domain. However, there were incidents in the responses of students and teachers that were inconsistent in other sub-categories, but it did not change the overall level of implementation and impact of CGP. Therefore, to avoid inconsistency of answers from both teachers and students, it was highly recommended to strictly follow the imposed guidelines and policies in the implementation of the Career Guidance Program (CGP), especially in the part of the advisers/teachers, and career advocacy coordinators. Furthermore, the top three problems and barriers in the implementation of CGP were:(1) Students performed CGP activities for compliance’s sake only; (2) the overlapping schedule of school activities. Hence, time for CGP is sacrificed; and (3) CGP is considered the least prioritized subject since it is not graded. In addition, deductive coding or concept-driven coding was used to consolidate proposed solutions to the top three problems.
