ABSTRACT
This action research focused on the effectiveness of Senior-Subordinate System (SSS): Peer Tutoring in improving the performance of SHS students on the accounting cycle of service business. Specifically, it determined the mean pre-test and post-test scores, the significant difference between the scores, and the effect size of Senior-Subordinate Strategy. This research made use of one group pre-test and post-test research design, and total enumeration was utilized including all the 30 learners of Grade 11 ABM-Monstera as respondents. Based on the analysis, there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students. The intervention had a medium effect on the test scores of the respondents, and there was an improvement in the accounting performance of the Grade 11 ABM-Monstera students. From the findings and conclusion, the researchers recommend using the intervention material in the teaching accounting cycle of a service business and utilizing modified peer tutoring to other learning activities and the conduct of similar studies to improve academic performance.
