ABSTRACT

Work immersion which started its implementation in the year 2017 is still considered very new in the Secondary Education curriculum of the Philippines that few researches were conducted related to this. The aim of the study was generally to determine the extent of implementation of work immersion and level of employability skills of TVL students in the Legislative District 5 of Schools Division of Isabela. Respondents were 8 School Heads, 8 work immersion teachers, and 8 Partner Institution Supervisors, chosen purposively. It utilized a descriptive correlational method where data gathered revealed that the level of implementation of work immersion of TVL students were very satisfactory influenced by instructional, student, and environmental factors. Moreover, Technology-Vocational-Livelihood students acquired skills that make them highly employable. Inferential analysis through Pearson r further indicated that the employability skill of TVL students was correlated to both extent of implementation of work immersion and the factors affecting work immersion. Hence, it is recommended to strengthen the curriculum of work immersion by considering the factors that influence the implementation and development of innovative programs to reinforce the employability skills of TVL students.
