Fernando O. Lopez, Teacher III, Quezon National High School

ABSTRACT

The research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of iLeaP (Individualized Learning Package) in improving the foot spa skills of Grade 9 Beauty Care Services students enrolled for S.Y. 2019-2020 at Quezon National High School. It utilized a pre-experimental method where the 39 respondents, selected through total enumeration, were observed at two time points. Standard deviation, mean and paired sample t-test were used to analyze the gathered data. Results revealed that iLeaP improved the foot spa skills of the respondents from satisfactory to very satisfactory performance. The intervention brought a significant difference (t=8.460; p<000) in the students’ foot spa skills after its implementation. The eta square generated a value of 1.35 denoting a large effect, hence, intensification and adoption of iLeaP in Technology and Livelihood Education and Technical and Vocational Livelihood classes is encouraged. Similar studies with large sample size to other learning areas/ schools within the district/ division may also be conducted.
