2022 Mental Health Month: Promotion of Mental Health at the Workplace


The Department of Education, City Schools Division of Cabuyao conducted the 2022 Observance of the Mental Health Month as mandated to the DepED by Republic Act 11036 or the Philippine Mental Health Law.


The opening program commenced thru a nationalistic song followed by a prayer thru an Audio-visual presentation. This was followed by a welcome message and inspirational message by Atty. Jerica Clara S. Machado, Legal Officer III of DepED Cabuyao. The statement of purpose was delivered by Dr. Donna Jean B. Aniñon were she mentioned the need for different mental health activities and advocacies for learners and personnel. 


After that, the introduction of the resource speaker was done by Sir Marvin R. Vicente, EPS-II for Monitoring and Evaluation.  During the discussion, Ma’am Collado, discussed the importance and significance of a mentally health workplace, the importance of self-acceptance, organizational culture, and behavior of people in the organization. She also discussed different ways on how we are going the promote mental health in the individual level and organization level. During the discussion and open form, Ma’am Anneslee Riñon, AO 4 of the Cashier unit also shared her personal experiences in life, her difficulties, and ways she bounced back from these difficulties.


The open forum was followed by the awarding of certificates and post seminar activity including online sharing of mental health quotes, journal sharing, and writing of thank you card and apology letter.
