“Study to learn not for the grades”
These were the words of Assistant Regional Director, Cherrylou D. Ratia, mentioning how the essence of learning comes upon the fruits of wisdom being inclined rather than seeing the extent of your learning as a student.
Ways of uncertainty continues to thrive as the threads of tomorrow gradually morphs through thin air, as indigenous people tend insufficient sustainability, resulting the underlying struggles and sacrifices just to attain proper and equitable education. It comes swirling throughout the meadows, quality education appears most likely to be amiss, as they slowly take upon the bridges of difficulty and misalignment.
Atop the mountains of Oriental Mindoro, settling beneath the towns of Puerto Galera lies the vicinity of Ambang Mangyan School, striving for a change. Behind the soluble drive force of their kin, lies the tiring sessions that they went through almost every day.
Crossing multiple rivers, climbing sharp edges of the rock formations, and walking for almost a day just to arrive to school justifies their stepping stone just to advance a full engagement upon their lives despite the unknowing pitfalls behind every initiative to move forward.
Nerve-wracking instances and back-breaking situations all for the continuity of learning, the people of Mangyans not only progresses to improve but upholding the hands of fulfillment to learn despite the casualties wreaking havoc in their lives.
Just like the waves, no matter how compressing it is, the waves will prosper, seek and live on, the tides lifting off from black to crystal clear, defeating the grave currents of destruction. The Mangyans remain at their best regardless of the detestable inaccuracy holding and bringing them down. For their own beneficial, indeed, there’s always a way to breach the problems away.
