Testimonials

"As a student from Lipa City Science, studying has always been my passion. However, with the current setup because of the pandemic, studying is not that easy. But if I look at the positive light, the mode of studying in Lipa City Science helped me develop my confidence to open up to other people, especially with my classmates and teachers. They helped me establish my learning habit towards achieving goals as a true scholar."

"In the few months that I've been a student at this school, I've made new friendships and memories. Regardless of the fact that having classes online was a difficult time for us all, we were able to create wonderful memories and have fun in class. Despite the pressure and stress we face, I have no regrets about attending this school. My student life is a wonderful and challenging adventure of becoming and growing into the person I want to be."

"My life as a Lipasay student has been a one-of-a-kind adventure that continues to this day. It was difficult for me to adjust to the new school environment when I was in seventh grade, but after years, I was eventually adjusting and finding the people that made my adventure even better and the way it is now. I met the teachers who were able to help me anytime I needed it and who are now guiding me on my path to success. Because of LipaSay, I was able to grow, have new opportunities, learn and hone new abilities I never knew I possessed, making my journey remarkable and fruitful."

"I would describe my life of being a scholar as a roller coaster. Yes, being a scholar is indeed like being on a roller coaster, as being a scholar I experienced many ups and downs while on my road to reach my dreams and goals but instead of screaming in pain, I happily chose to scream in joy and excitement. As a student of Lipa City Science Integrated National High School, I experienced many different unexpected memorable experiences that helped me to grow and mold myself as a better student that I am today. It is a wholesome and overwhelming journey of becoming what I aspire to be and it is a great privilege and honor as a student to experience these kinds of things that help to prepare us with responsibilities in the future."

"I can say that my life as a Lipasay student is full of challenges and pressure because of the high expectations and standards that the school has. Despite this, I am still honored to be part of the institution, knowing that limited and only selected students get accepted here. I also wanted to add that despite having high academics standard, I still can say that I really had fun, and enjoyed being part of this institution for almost 5 years."

"At Lipa Science, we recognize that the high school experience is more than just achieving the demands of academics. It's the lifelong relationships we forge when we meet new people. It's about creating and sharing memorable moments, feeling like we're hitting a game-winning home run when celebrating our achievements. It's about engaging in organizations and making a difference in the community. Life here is ours to create, define, and experience."

"Lipa Science started a domino effect on my professional and personal growth - college and career choice, job opportunities, even the research training that’s been helpful in graduate school. The classes, extracurriculars, and the Lipasay culture trained students not only to be diligent but also to have grit, and that’s not something easily developed. There was only one class per year level, so we were a smaller community then, but the school assemblies, science camps, and too-frequent intraschool competitions were perfect venues for making all kinds of memories."

"It was incredibly overwhelming and stressful yet satisfying to manage the learning experience of every student in a class. As an accidental teacher, it is overwhelming to try to keep myself organized with all the preparations that I need to do with very little time. Until now, starting a class is still very nerve-wracking. I was only 22 when I started teaching, only 4-5 years older than the students so it just felt weird at first. I am always curious about what the students are thinking whenever I delivered a lesson. The students are all smart so I am always conscious of what they think of me. But as I progressed with the class, I felt more confident to talk as I realized that the students are listening to me. Sure, it was very tough but also very rewarding just to hear the students say their thank-yous at the end of every class."

"Overwhelming is the word that best describes my teaching esperience as a teacher of scholars. My teaching experience taught me a lot about what it means to be a teacher and a lot about myself. As a freshman in the Lipa City Science Integrated National High School, I am always excited to get plugged into real classrooms soon and get even more training and insight on what it is like to be a teacher. Eventhough we are in online blended learning my teaching experience gave me a view of what it is that I could potentially be doing a few years from now, and I am more than excited to explore this amazing field with ISKOLARS."

"It is my pride and honor to be one of the teachers of the excellent, dedicated, good natured, courteous, responsible, and multi- talented scholars here at Lipa City Science INHS. It's an overwhelming and satisfying feeling every time we had an interactive classes. Though time constrained, everyone is so insightful and eager to share their ideas and own experiences about the topic of discussion. Critical and analytical answers were given as well. Tasks were done with flying colors. It's just a piece of cake for most of the scholars. But I'm a bit disappointed due to some scholars who were

Irresponsible in their studies and giving hard times to their teachers and ruining the image of the school. Maybe they were still struggling to overcome their own battles in order to survive. All they need is time to collect themselves sooner so they can cope with the fast pace of learning environment. They should not waste the chances given by their teachers and the administration to comply and perform on their best.

I wish everyone to have a bright and successful future ahead of them. May they will stay humble despite of all their achievements and successes. Learn to look back and pay tribute to those who had inspired and help them to realize their dreams. Lastly, may they will be grateful to God for His blessings, and give honor to their parents for all the unconditional love and support they had given to each and everyone. My heartfelt congratulations to all of you. Thank you for being a part of my devotion and life. Love you all."

"Before the COVID-19 pandemic, students activeness during class are evident. You can also see them measuring my knowledge about the topic I am are discussing. It's not like they're belittling teachers but assessing their capabilities to see if they could really learn from us. The classes were great, interactive, and challenging. At present, I barely experience those. Whenever I ask for questions if they understood the lesson, they say yes. However, when I look at the results of tests and performance, I can see that they actually did not understand. There are no more who are willing to debate against me. No more who stands firm on their ideas and justifies it. Currently, I am looking for those moments which I can't seem to find because of hindrances and circumstances.

As for my relationship with the students before the crises, I felt that I'm both a friend and a mother to the students. My students know that whenever I'm in class, they know that I have the authority. Outside the classroom, we are friends. There are students who are actually approaching me whenever problems arise. At present, I can't really feel the relationship much. It's probably okay because it's online but the bonds aren't that deep."

"I am Ma'am Ophelia B. Ticala, I have 15 years of experience here in Lipa City Science. And those 15 years feels like a rollercoaster because in my first few years, I adjusted from being in a small school and being transferred to a top performing school which is the LCSINHS now. Wherein, as a teacher I need to adjust fast. In those years, I learned a lot and change my life forever. At first, everything feels so new to me but it made me happy because I experienced teaching students who definitely excel academically and teaching them made me feel challenged as well. The approach and the way of teaching students here is really different to my previous school. Educating the students of the LCSINHS is easy since they are able to absorb and understand the topics quickly.

When I first entered the school, there were only four sections with the old curriculum. The first year, second year, third year, and fourth year. Eventually, it changed to two sections per year level and now we offer the Senior High School.

The new learning set-up (Online Learning) challenged me as an educator since I was not really that technology literate. In a way that the applications that were recommended to us for teaching is new to me and I really have to adjust and study a lot. I had to give up several paperwork because of complicated applications I found hard learning and coping up to, compared to those new generation of teachers. This challenge is something I will back out but sadly it put my health at risk which made me reach a certain conclusion.

It has now came to the point that I am willing to grab my early retirement. In my 15 years of being a teacher of Lipa Science, I never once felt being tired of educating, I love teaching and my passion is in teaching.

My students know that inside the classroom, I was somehow strict and I always say and remind them tha "Isip Iskolar, Galaw Iskolar, at Sagot Iskolar". And this has always been my challenge to my students and the funny thing is that this saying of mine really threatened them and made them do better. So I can definitely say that my approach really taught my students to be prepared before and after entering my class. And outside we are "Berks" or barkada and make chika chika. And overall that's my experience here in LipaSci, thank you!"

"In my 16 years of teaching experience, I thought when I already took almost 13 years in private school teaching, I have already set or completed, or achieved my goal as a teacher. I have mastered the subject that I am teaching. I am familiar with the lessons that I am giving the students. But when I entered the Lipa Science, I learned more from the teaching itself and the students because I have the passion of teaching is always there but it is more compact. The passion should be includes not ony the mastery of the subject/lesson but also being passionate with the lessons of life that I have to impart with my students. Setting myself as their role model. That is very important where I very much into giving my principle as I teach them disciplines which I think that the students are following. Keeping my dignity in possession at all times. I think that the students nowadays are so observant of the teachers. The values that they are teaching, and what they are experiencing with their teacher. I think I am still working on the chance to be closer with each and every student I am handling whether its on the subject, advisory, or guidance. I want to learn more and have closer relationship with them. I want to be open to whatever they are thinking. I know that during my time is very different from the kids nowadays so I want to set a goal where we can communicate more so that I'll know how to help them, get to know them, listen to their joys, sadness, their rants. The situation where they can tell me anything under the sun without hesitation. Before the pandemic, I was able to get to know some of the senior students. I want to continue that because I learn a lot from them not only their views but also how they are thinking."
