Preserving moments

In 1996, the LCNSHS became one of the DOST Node schools (ESEP) after the three-component schools were given separate entities. The school used to have only one section for each grade level, starting with 502 students in the freshman year, but it has recently made two sections for its Grade 7 to accommodate about 80 students. To be retained at the Science High School, a student has to maintain a grade of at least 85% in Science, Math, and English. LCNSHS placed 8th in the National Achievement Test (NAT) in SY 2011-2012, having a raw score of 119.9, and 4th in the Assessment of Learning Competence in English, Mathematics, and Science (ALCEMS) with a 100% over-all performance composite score in the three (3) subject areas. LCSINHS offered blended learning to conduct lessons. A combination of synchronous and asynchronous instructions became part of the daily teaching and learning instructions. According to a survey conducted by the school, most parents prefer to combine learning modules with online explanations of lesson content by teachers. During this time without face-to-face instructions, the school managed to use in full capacity all the online and media platforms available to be able to reach all the learners, such as: Google Meet, Zoom, and Messenger. Facebook, email, calls, texts, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, and others.
