Instructional Supervision
Instructional Supervision
Instructional supervision is based on school-based supervision from relevant staff, specifically the school head or the master teacher, in schools to provide supervision, support, and continuity assessment for teachers' professional development and improvement of the teaching process. Glickman, (1990) opined that instructional supervision is a process of improving instruction for the benefit of students. He noted that instructional supervision helps the students to learn as effectively and efficiently as possible. Teaching and learning are complementary processes.
