We are so happy you’re joining our community. Below you’ll find quite a bit of information but I think it will help you navigate the middle school waters. But please know if you have any questions that are not answered below you are more than welcome to reach out to me and I’ll help in any way that I can. You will find my contact information below.
MS/HS students arriving before 7:50am
MS/HS students arriving between 7:15am - 7:50am will remain in the main lobby.
After 7:50am please use carline procedures (see below)
Students will be required to wear face covering at all times while in the lobby regardless of physical distancing.
All absences and tardies must be reported by a parent/guardian to our attendance line at 303.763.7979 or emailed (see emails below) by 8:45 am

Canvas is our new Learning Management System which houses academic information. Information regarding student’s academic progress, including feedback and assessment, will be recorded in Canvas.

All 6th - 12th grade students (including the K - 5th graders that are riding with this group) are to be dropped off and picked up on the WEST side of the atrium doors.
Enter the back entrance near the pond and follow along the fields under the building and drop off your students. Exit out the main entrance.
Below is our dress code, as a reminder while you are shopping for back to school clothes.
General:
Clothing (including face coverings) that advertises or displays alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other inappropriate, controversial, or suggestive ideas are prohibited.
Undergarments should not be visible. Sports bras are considered undergarments and should not be visible (including during athletics).
Pierced jewelry should be limited to ears and nose studs.
All hair, including facial hair, should be neatly groomed and natural color.
Hats (including beanies and hoodies) may not be worn inside the school building.
Tops:
Shirts should be long enough to cover the midriff area.
Shirts must be worn at all times (including during athletics).
No tank tops or sleeveless shirts for gentlemen.
No off the shoulder tops are permitted without a 2” strap underlayer.
All sleeveless tops/dresses must have a 2” thick strap and cover any undergarment.
Bottoms:
Pants with holes/tears must not have skin showing through.
All shorts, dresses, and skirts must extend to end of fingertips or below, including shorts worn for P.E.
Leggings and yoga pants may only be worn under tops, dresses or skirts that cover the bum.

What I send out through this application are reminders of upcoming events, inspirational quotes, words of encouragement, last minute details about events (i.e. changes to a field trip due to weather), etc.
What I DO NOT INCLUDE on this is anything related to whole school system items, for example snow days, etc (you'll use the regular school communications for those items).

It is a two way communication tool so you can text me through it by replying to the text message that you receive. In fact, the number that it comes from you can save in your contacts as Dr. Amidon and that will help you identify it when you receive it.

SCRIP is a program where DC families can purchase gift cards and receive a percentage back that is later applied directly towards their family’s DC tuition. For more information, email: dcscrip@denverchristian.org
DCS offers a fee-based bus transportation program. DC families can choose from the North, South or West Routes.

Please note: this form must be filled out for each rider each year.
Each student's wellness card must be filled out and shown to the bus driver prior to boarding the bus.
A student that does not have a completed Wellness Card will need to be screened by the bus driver
Face Coverings must be worn at all times on the bus.
