Printers and Scanners
Printing directly to Multi-Function Devices (MFD)
It's always a good idea to have a direct connection to your preferred printing device. A direct connection can be used even when a print server is offline. The downside to a direct connection is you may need to have the device drivers available and the IP address and other device settings may change. The following instructions are only for printing from Apple and Windows computers. These steps will only work when performed on campus.
Add the device
Apple computers
Open System Preferences --> Printers & Scanners
Click the '+' sign to add a printer.
We're adding a printer via the IP address. Click on the IP menu option. See below for a list of the device IP addresses.
10.10.4.29 - Elementary MFD
10.10.5.29 - Arts & Media MFD
10.10.6.29 - Senior Hall MFD
10.10.8.29 - Mustang Hall MFD
10.10.9.29 - 10th Grade MFD (currently offline)
10.10.9.28 - 11th Grade MFD
10.10.10.29 - Admin MFD
10.10.10.28 - Development MFD (Toshiba)
10.10.10.27 - Library MFD (Toshiba currently)
10.10.10.26 - Counseling MFD
10.10.14.27 - MSEast MFD
10.10.14.28 - MSWest MFD
10.10.16.29 - Jim Gym MFD (Toshiba currently)
If device drivers are needed...
We've setup a network share for accessing the drivers.
Apple computers - connect to this server: smb://dafs-1/printDrivers/Mac
Windows computers - connect to this server: //dafs-1/printDrivers/Windows
