Volunteer!

Our volunteers are the heart of our program! We could not reach as many students nor maintain as many spaces as we do without the help of our wonderful community members. Check out our volunteer options below or send us an email at farmtoschool@deltaschools.com letting us know how you would like to get involved!  We love having our community members in the gardens with students creating connections and memories!

Volunteer Opportunities

Summer Garden Clubs: Garden clubs happen once a week from 8-10am. Teach students about growing healthy food and how to maintain the gardens. Lead weekly garden lessons / activities and help students prepare to sell their produce at a local farmer's market.

Garden Maintenance and Community Work Days: Community work days will be one time events that involve building and putting up garden infrastructure, weeding, and other garden tasks. We also need help with weekly waterings and garden maintenance.

Teaching Agriculture and Nutrition lessons: Teach hands-on garden lessons and nutrition education to elementary students during the school year. Watch the seeds of your work grow in the garden and in the minds of the future stewards of our planet.
