Powerful stories can be told in many ways. How can you tell your story in powerful manner that impacts an audience? Lets explore the process through the resources on this site.
Steps in planning using Design Thinking and/or ADST Curricular competencies
Understanding context - empathy - Any film is made with an audience in mind. It is the audience which the film hope to engage, entertain or provoke. To do this we need to know who our audience is. Who is your audience?
Define - How will you engage your audience? How will success be demonstrated? What tools do you have available to use?
Ideating - It may be good to work as a part of team, and brain storm ideas. Draft up the idea in more detail and write a script based.
Prototype - This is where you'll begin to storyboard and draft the filming process. This helps make your filming much more efficient and effective. How many transitions are there? How many Scenes? What types of shots? What's happening? Who are the actors?
Testing - Ask for feedback on your storyboard. Are others able to follow it like a recipe to make cookies? You might need to add some more ingredients.
Make - Rolling....action! Time to start shooting the film and editing.
Share - Time for a film festival.
