Hello Band students!
I hope you are doing okay at home, and that you are taking advantage of all your spare time to pull out your band instrument each day to practice. I hope to provide you with a few different options to support your instrument practice, and I encourage you to search the Internet, especially YouTube, for instructional videos or play along opportunities to keep going on your instrument.
If you have your Essential Elements band book at home, and if the book was purchased this year (or within the last few years), you should be able to log in to Essential Elements Interactive. I have put the link and the instructions below - please make sure you get permission from your parents to join my online classroom. You can use this app on a tablet, phone or computer to practice your Essential Elements pieces and to play along with a backing track (other recorded instruments).
If you cannot access Essential Elements Interactive, just continue to work on the book on your own. I will be adding ideas and links over the coming weeks to add to your practice sessions.

To create an account, you will need our school code: LadnerEl46 and your Student Activation Code, which is found on the title page of your Essential Elements band book.

On the Essential Elements Home page, choose Students.
Select Create an Account.
Enter the school code: Ladnerel46
When it says Please enter your EEI Student ID, select I don't have an EEI Student ID.
Click on the two check boxes, then enter the Student Activation Code from your Essential Elements title page.
Next it will ask you to enter your first name, last name, instrument, and then to create a username and password. I request that you use your proper first name (so I know who has been on the website), but you may use an imaginary last name if you wish for privacy purposes. Your username and password are up to you. It is also optional to enter your Deltalearns email address, but if you forget your username or password, it will be helpful to have an email attached to your account to recover these.
Please note that I will be deleting our school's account, and your account information, by June 30, 2020 as per Delta School District regulations.
Once you have created your own account, I encourage you to access the Play Along songs from your Essential Elements band book, and use the accompaniments on this website. Here's how to do it:
On the top menu bar, click on the microphone icon. This will take you to the Play Along song section.
2. On the left side menu, click on View Songlist. This will display all the songs in your Essential Elements book. Choose a song, choose the type of accompaniment you want to play along with, and start practicing!
Note: You will need to enter our school code LadnerEl46 and your Student Activation Code each time you go to https://www.essentialelementsinteractive.com/ to practice.
