Name-It Ball
*You will need a ball or a pair of rolled up socks to play this game.
Players stand in a circle, or across from each other if there are only 2 or 3 players. One player chooses a category such as "Ice Cream Flavours."
The starting player names something in that category. For example "Vanilla" and then tosses (or bounces, or kicks) the ball to another person in the circle.
The player that was thrown to says another word in the same category such as "Chocolate" and then sends the ball to another player.
When a player cannot name something NEW in the category, they are out. The last person standing gets to choose the category for the next round!

"Bop It" Challenge
*You will need a piece of paper to play this game. It is also an option to use 2 paper plates (as you will see at the end of the video).
Watch Coach Gelardi explain this simple, fun game that is great for developing hand-eye coordination! See the you tube video below. :)
Squat, Throw, Race!
*You will need a pair of rolled up socks and an empty basket/box/garbage can for each player in order to play this game.
The aim of the game is to get 3 consecutive "baskets" (throwing socks into your basket) before your opponent does.
Line up about 2 meters away from your basket, facing your basket, holding your socks.
On "Ready, set, go!" both players start doing 10 squats (or whatever exercise you like - jumping jacks, sit ups, lunges, etc) then throw your socks. If they land in the basket you get 1 point and you take a big step back from your previous starting spot and begin again: 10 squats, throw your socks.

If your socks do not land in the basket do 10 squats as a consequence and then go back to your original starting position.
If you miss a basket at any time (at 1 point or 2 points) you start again at zero!
See how many times you can beat your opponent by getting 3 baskets in a row!

We did our school wide Terry Fox Run back in September, but did you know that it was 40 years ago this week (April 12th, 1980) that Terry Fox began his Marathon of Hope?
Here are some links to remind you about Terry. :)
