► JAMES M. FORTENER, age 84, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2026 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born May 10, 1941 in Delphos to Melvin Fortener and Marcella (Grothouse) Fortener, who preceded him in death. On November 28, 1964 he married Sharon (Buettner) Fortener and they celebrated nearly 60 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on October 17, 2024. CLICK HERE FOR FULL OBITUARY.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2026

► RICHARD U. HEDRICK, age 97, of Delphos, passed away Thursday February 26, 2026 at Vancrest Nursing Home, Delphos. He was born August 1, 1928 to Urban and Regina (Haunhorst) Hedrick who both preceded him in death. On September 15, 1951 he married Mary Louise Young who preceded him in death January 2, 1996. On September 18, 1998 he married Barbara O’Neil who preceded him in death August 8, 2001. Dick is survived by a son, Michael (Margaret) Hedrick. CLICK HERE FOR OBITUARY.

► MERLIN "BUD" TRENTMAN, age 93, of Landeck, passed peacefully away Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the company of his family.  He was born on March 5, 1932, in Spencerville, OH, to the late Hilary and Martha (Gengler) Trentman. Merlin was united in marriage to Patricia (Merschman) Trentman on June 2, 1956. She preceded him in death on January 7, 2005, after 49 loving years together. He married Dorothy Grone in 2007. ► MICHAEL J. GRUBENHOFF, age 69, of Delphos, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 27, 1956, in Lima to Othmer (Bob) and Rita (Mueller) Grubenhoff, who both preceded him in death. On June 1, 1985, he married Terri (Kleman) Grubenhoff, who preceded him in death on March 29, 2021. ► RONALD J. "RON" SCHIMMOELLER, age 79, of Delphos, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 22, 1946, to Kenneth and Mary Ann (Sanders) Schimmoeller and they preceded him in death. Ron married Bertha (Kill) Schimmoeller on July 12, 1969, and she survives in Delphos. ► JAMES Q. "JIM" McKOWEN, 94, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025 at The Springs of Lima. He was born August 2, 1931 in Lima to Raymond McKowan and Olivia (Jettinghoff) McKowen, who both preceded him in death.
